Rest day! We got up in time to maximize our breakfast intake period and stayed at breakfast from 7am-10am eat bacon, sausages, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits, pastries, coffees, juices, etc. It was wonderful.
Viki slept and lounged by the pool. I set off to bike into town to tick through a bunch of errands. Spent a few hours out, saw the Guggenheim museum (which is actually designed by a Canadian architect), and had some great chat with a German bikepacker, Markus Carlos Hein. He had just finished riding the the Transiberica ultracycling race, biking over 300km daily for 10 days.
We had breakfast leftovers for lunch and dinner and are now feeling nicely rested to continue cycling tomorrow!
