Easy day today. We went for breakfast at 7am and 10:15am (getting a small scolding the second time). We just rested at the hotel until checkout at noon, when we had a short cycle along the waterfront to our next hotel, the fancy Hotel Miragem Cascais. Both hotels have been packed with people attending conferences. Official check in wasn’t until 4pm, but we hung out by the pool until our room was ready.
Once again (for the fourth, and last, time) we had a bottle of champagne and choclate covered strawberries awaiting us (also a perk of switching hotels between last night and tonight). We watched a movie, had dinner of typical Portuguese seafood rice at a small taverna, and then came back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
Congratulations Andrew & Vikki on your marriage. Every happiness for the future including many more cycle touring trips. It has been a pleasure reading your most recent trip. It maybe something we consider. We have just completed a cycle trip from Seoul, Korea to Busan which was very enjoyable. We look forward to reading the rest of your Spanish trip. All the best, Sandra & Mike Barnes (Geneva)
Thanks Sandra and Mike! The Korea trip sounds cool – all of ours have been limited to Europe. We’re now all finished with this trip and back to work this week
