Maybe 9 degrees, based on the garmin. Our fingers were frozen, there was a thick fog, and water water from condensation dripped off our helmets as we rode. There was however, a beautiful sunrise, that glowed through the fog. Viki later said &#8220;it was a delightful cycle this morning&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>We stopped around 30km in Guitiriz for pastries and coffee. The pastries haven&#8217;t been nearly as good in Spain compared to France. The croissants often have sugar on them and aren&#8217;t as nicely layered, we never see almond flavored pastries, and they&#8217;re generally just not as tasty. We&#8217;ve been seeing empanadas offered a lot recently, but here it&#8217;s a whole pie and you order a slice that&#8217;s charged by weight. We ordered a slice from another store with a very friendly saleslady, which was quite good.<\/p>\n<p>We arrived in santiago de compostella right st 5pm and went straight to the pilgrim&#8217;s office to officially receive our &#8220;compostella&#8221;, or pilgrim&#8217;s certificate. It was an exciting moment, after a very hectic hour waiting among throngs of pilgrims. I called around albuegues, which were mostly all full, but finally found Albergue Seminario Menor, which could give us two separate one-person rooms for \u20ac24 each.
