Dear Parents

Thank you to Dr. Clarance (Connor, K, Tessa, G.2), Elyssia Patterson (G.5) and her Dad, the Anthony family (Charlsey, G.5), Mr. Cooper (Sarah, G.1), Mr. Schramm (Daniel, G.2), Farah, G.5) and Kalim (G.4) Kassam, Jonathan Miller (G.5), Nabila Pirani (G.5), the Ferguson family (Alex, K), and, of course, as always, Mr. Staff (Olivia & Rebecca, K, Natalie, G.2) who all provided me with the correct answer to last week's mathematical problem.

Sarah and Curtis are playing a card game. At the end of each game the loser pays the winner 10¢. After several games, Sarah has 50¢ more than she started with and Curtis has won exactly 4 games. How many games have been played?

SOLUTION

Curtis won 4 games so Sarah paid out 40 cents. Then she must have won 4 games to re-coup her loss, then won another 5 games to be 50 cents up, giving a total of 13 games.

MATH PROBLEM # 3

If you earned $125 every day, how long would it take to earn $1000000?

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

For the next three weeks, if you have any requirements relating to uniforms please complete an order form and leave it at the school office. The order forms are available at the office. Your requirements will be forwarded to Cambridge and Company, filled and delivered to you at the school.
