Anne Millerd

Grade 2

B. Ed. Victoria, B.C.

Ms Millerd began her teaching career at Collingwood School where she was a popular and successful teacher in both primary and intermediate grades for four years.

Wishing to broaden her professional skills and her work experience, she turned to business administration, particularly in the area of special events co-ordination. In the last few years she has designed and implemented market research projects, created and co-ordinated community programmes and events, and latterly designed, marketed and presented school based nature programmes in Richmond, B.C. Ms Millerd loves sports and all outdoor activities; tennis, squash, skiing, walking, softball and cycling. She and her husband, Darrel Sharp, are organizing Mulgrave’s second after school ski club next January on the slopes of Mount Seymour, having received an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response to the first.

Ms Millerd has spent time this summer at U.B.C. where she took a course ‘Introduction to Teaching the Gifted and Creative Child’ - this in between moving house!
