Medical-Illness or Injury at School
Where it is necessary to administer medication to a student, written instructions and consent from a parent must be received by the classroom teacher. If a student becomes ill or is injured at school, parents will be contacted to come to the school to pick up their child. In some cases, where parents or emergency contacts cannot be reached, it may be necessary for a member of the school staff to take the child to his or her doctor or the hospital. If this were to arise, staff members involved would do their utmost to care for the student.
Care of Personal Property
Students are required to look after their own belongings. Carelessness leads to possessions being lost or broken. All belongings need to be clearly labelled, and items of value should not be brought to school. It is absolutely forbidden to bring anything into school which might represent a danger (knives, matches, etc.).
Fire and Earthquake Drills
The school will conduct a regular programme of fire and earthquake drills throughout the year.
School Buildings and Grounds
It is the duty and responsibility of every student to make sure classrooms. corridors, washrooms and school grounds are kept tidy.
