Kindergarten June 97
Dear Parents,
This has been an exciting, action packed year, and as usual the end has crept up all of a sudden. I have really enjoyed teaching your children and have learned a lot from them , as I hope they have from me ! They are a remarkable bunch and I am sure will go on to shine in Grade One. As you know, there will be two Grade One classes next year and Mrs. Jolley, who comes from South Africa, will be teaching one class and Mrs. Ferguson the other. We have tried to distribute the current Kindergarten class fairly between the two Grade One classes, taking into consideration gender, academic ability and behaviour, to create two balanced groups. On Thursday, June 19th, there will be a " Step Up" morning with all the children going into Grade One together with Mrs. Jolley and Mrs. Ferguson.
We are having our final assembly on the last day of term-June 20th. The children are very excited and are performing an African Folk Tale. Please, if you have any animal costumes at homee could you send them in a.s.a.p. to help me cast the characters! We particularly need:-
Please help your child to learn their lines and keep their copies at home for daily review. We intend to go out with a bang and I am sure you will be amazed at how much these children can do!
I would like to thank all my class parents for all their support and energy- especially Mrs. Allard and Mrs. Pao who stayed on for a second term they loved it so much! Also, Dr. Clarance, for her enthusiasm and help with Field Trips- we will all remember Langley Airport for a long time to come and the wonderful Mr. Holliday!
We are all looking forward to our class party on Thursday, June 19th. This will take place after "Step Up" morning and be a lunch and afternoon at the beach at the Allards house ! Please sign up if you can drive on the sheet outside the classroom.
On Friday, June20th.,the Kindergarten and Grade 3 classes will have an End of Year celebration between recess and lunch. The Grade 3 families are invited to bring savoury snacks and the Kindergarten families the really good, sweet, sugary, hyperactive stuff! Please sign up on the other sheet outside the classroom to bring your favourite confection!
As most of you know, I will be leaving Mulgrave at the end of this year and moving to Collingwood School. I will miss the children so much I can hardly bear to think of it but I would like to keep in touch, and follow the childrens progress. I wish you and your children every success at Mulgrave it is a great little school made so by its supersonic students!
With love from,
Mrs.Bryant
